Getting Started

Before launching any product, complete the preparation guides below in the recommended order.

Restore Point

Create a Windows restore point before making any system modifications. This allows you to quickly recover if a configuration change needs to be reverted.

Install Runtimes

Install all required runtime packages before attempting to launch a product. Missing dependencies are one of the most common causes of setup issues.

Disable Antivirus

Configure Windows Defender and any third-party antivirus software according to the setup documentation before launching a product.

System Requirements

Review the supported Windows versions, hardware requirements, and security configuration requirements before continuing.

Disable Protections

Some products require virtualization, Hyper-V, Kernel DMA Protection, or other Windows security features to be disabled before use.

Exploit Protections

Verify that Windows Exploit Protection settings are configured correctly and reset any modified entries back to their default values.
